Advantages: les fat
Disadvantages: ?
I went into Tesco’s needing some more cereal and saw this pink box shining out at me a big red K jumping out of the display. Kellogs special K red berries 99% fat free lose up to 6 lb in 2 weeks it shouts. Well I was tempted I wanted a low fat cereal. I usually eat toast for breakfast but had thought although not on a diet I would try and cut out some fat and calories. I usually eat bran flakes but they are boring, I decided these would be a change. The next morning I opened the packet easily and poured some into my bowl. I am not too keen on milk so did not add any but I have raspberries growing in the garden and added some to the bowl. My first taste of these flakes was pleasant a crisp crunchy sweet tasting flake, yes I like these Now the fruit, a raspberry and a strawberry and yes I think that red piece must be a cherry. The amount of fruit in the pack is not great but then you expect that when buying these fruit cereals. That’s why I added a few fresh raspberries from the garden. There are few cherries in the pkt small red pieces of dried fruit I am chewing one now yes I can just taste it is a cherry. Now I shall eat a raspberry a whole dried raspberry this is full of flavour. Next the strawberry a little chewier than the raspberry yes it is a mild strawberry flavour this is a whole strawberry dried flat mm nice, there are a few whole fruits in the pkt but mostly pieces of fruit. When milk is added the fruit does absorb the liquid and become a little plumper. My fresh raspberries from the garden make a good added treat. I find that a whole bowl is a little sweet so add some bran flakes I have to the mix and this does lessen the sweetness each mouthful and bran flakes are cheaper so it does bring down the price also bran flakes have fewer calories. I find this special k cereal quite filling So I shall be ready to face the morning at school with energetic children Nutritio

- 27/11/07 Thank you for the review. I'm not a great fan of eating first thing in the morning which is when I guess most people eat this kind of cereal. |
