Kellogg’s nutri grain.

I was trying to clean my pantry and came across 1 of these so thought I would eat it and tell you about it.

These are described as a morning bar. But they are not the kind of thing I like to eat in the morning as a breakfast substitute. I have often taken these bars with me when I have gone for a long walk or when we are camping as emergency filling up food

These bars come in a variety of fruity flavours, Apple my favourite there is a strawberry, a blueberry, a tangy orange, cherry, forest fruits, cappuccino, chocolate.
There is also a Kellogg’s bar called elevenses I prefer the elevenses. I wrote an opp on it earlier.
I just checked the price at tesco it is £164 for a pkt of 8 biscuits there is an offer3 pkts for £3or 34p for a single bar.

The bars are wrapped in a foil pkt; good as it keeps them moist they are brightly coloured blue for blueberry, red for strawberry.

The bar is a light brown oaty colour, not exciting but then would you expect it to be.
This is a fairly soft bar After the first bite you are into the fruit flavour this is like a layer of puree in the middle I find most of the fillings a little sweet not unpleasantly so just a little. The bars are a reasonable size for a snack.
Each bar weighs 37 g and has 136 calories per bar. They are made using wheat and oats; sugar vegetable oil salt and dried skimmed milk. They contain calcium and vitamins b6, b2, b2 and iron.
I think they are good for a snack or an addition to a packed lunch they are fairly healthy and I am sure I shall buy them again thanks for reading. best wishes Mary

I like these too. It'd be a nice surprise to fine one lurking at the back of one of my cupboards :-) Sue

I tend to make my own breakfast bars because the commercial ones tend to have milk and eggs in them.
