I love proper butter so was chuffed to bits when my dad brought a tub of Kerrygold the other day because it's 100% Irish butter and is creamier because it doesn't contain any vegetable oil. It tastes proper nice and is specially good on toast because the butter melts into it dead nice and makes it taste creamy. I don't think it's that greasy either even though it's butter and it has got a more creamy texture than greasy. It's a pain though because even though it's called softer butter it's rock hard when it's been in the fridge but if you leave it out then it sort of goes liquid and then you end up putting too much on your bread. I have always preferred the taste of butter to the taste of margarine. Opinions vary to which is actually better for you and there are advantages and disadvantages of each. Personally I prefer to have butter but try not to have too much of it. However this can be difficult when you are trying to spread a little bit of butter straight from the fridge onto your bread. Before you know it you have huge chunks of butter and that isn't good for you. I have tried various softer butters but despite their claims that you won't believe it's not butter I feel I can quite easily tell the difference. As I watching television one day I spotted a commercial for Kerrygold Softer Butter proudly proclaiming that it was all natural and contained 100% pure Irish butter. I was intrigued after becoming somewhat disillusioned with other spreadable butters, finding them a bit greasy. When it was time to do my next grocery shop I made sure that Kerrygold Softer Butter was on my list. Since trying it for the first time I have not looked back.
