Advantages: Unique, Superb Flavour, Crunchy Texture, Rather Natural, Quality, Addicting..!?

Disadvantages: Flavour Is Less Intense Nowadays

These are the nicest crisps you can buy as they are hand made and have a fabulous taste and flavour. The flavours have got a little less intense over the years, which is disappointing but they still taste wonderful and make an excellent snack - quite a filling one too if you're getting a large 150g bag!

The bag is deep blue - quite an original and attractive looking colour, which reminds you of the sea (hence the sea salt within the packet) and blue tends to be the colour for salt and vinegar crisps anyway. The Kettle Chips variety had a new design for their packets not too long ago.

The white Kettle Chips logo is towards the top on the blue background and the flavour is below - 'Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar'. The packet is made of an odd material, which is considerably harder and more crinkly than other packets. It's recycable however and the ingredients are very natural too.

The packet opens easily at the top and you are faced with quite an intense aroma rising from the packet. The crisps are all different shapes and sizes as they are hand made - you get round flat ones and you get ones which have curled up. They are usually quite large but there are small ones too, which were produced that way or crushed at some point. You always get 150g worth however, which is a fair amount. You can buy the packet online for £1.76 or get it cheaper in stores such as Tesco I think.

The flavour isn't as intense as it used to be but it still has the same taste. The sea salt is lightly sprinkled on the crisps, which have quite a hard and crunchy texture with a slight yellow appearance. The crisps have quite a strong balsamic vinegar flavour too, which contrasts really nicely with the salt and gives an overall addicting flavour. The quality of the crisps is excellent, which you can taste beneath the flavouring. They have been cooked to perfection and they are delicious. I'd highly recommend a pack - very flavourable and ideal for special occasions too!

Thanks for reading,

I do enjoy the flavour of balsamic vinegar but find these a little too sweet in flavour.
