These kettle chips advertise themselves as crisps which are just potato, nothing less, nothing more. These 'posh' crisps come in quite a fancy packaging: a lovely deep blue with quite a stylish logo. These are designed for dinner parties, and will be definitely making an appearance around christmas time!

These crisps vary in colour, and this is explained on the back: it varies with the natural sugars in the potatoes. I noticed no difference between the darker and lighter chips in terms of taste, but the darker ones are crunchier. There are some quite big ones, but lots of little ones at the bottom and some are folded. These aren't perfect crisps, but it makes them more authentic I feel.

The crisps are lovely and crunchy. They do have a good bite to them and don't go soggy in your mouth like some make of crisps do. They have a lovely salty flavour, and you can detect the vinegar quite strongly. I find that a lot of salt and vinegar crisps are overly strong on the salt, but kettle chips have struck a very good flavoursome balance.

For a 30g bag, there are 143 calories, which isn't terrible but the fat content is quite high.
