I always used to think of these as "grown-ups crisps" when I was but a wee lass, and this is something that sticks with me even now - there is something very sophisticated about these crisps. The black packet with white writing on is very classy, and once again says to me "expensive" and sophisticated". It is also not shiny like a lot of crisp packets but has a sort of matt feel, this all adding to the high-quality air. The packet is also very easy to get into, unlike some crisp packets, which I feel is of highest importance. When aforementioned packaging is opened, a lovely salty, peppery aroma wafts out and makes your mouth water in ... Read the complete review

I love to munch on a nice bag of crisps whilst watching TV on an evening and there's no denying these are the royalty of potato snacks (well in my opinion anyway). Whilst food shopping last week I went down the crisp and snack isle and this bag of Kettle Chips practically screamed my name "Buy me buy me!" they pleaded.. Well it would have been rude not to? The Claim~ These are hand cooked potato chips and are cooked using the best potatoes in small batches. They are seasoned with great tasting combinations of ingredients and all this adds up to "naturally crunchy and tasty chips, each one a little different from the last" so the ... You can't deny after eating these Crisps and then going back to Supermarket ones that these are a cut above. They are pretty luxurious, but kind of dangerous if bitten the wrong way! You get Kettle Chips in many different flavours, but it is the Salt and Pepper ones I am reviewing. Packaging wise it is just a normal bag of Crisps. The bag size is 150g and you only get this size. I'm sure i've seen 40g bags somewhere a good while ago, but don't think i've seen these for years. Although these are easy enough to open up the top, the packaging is quite thick, and feels a good quality. It is more sturdy that an average bag of Crisps. There isn't a great ... Kettle Chips are one of my favourite types of crisps, I way prefer them over any over type i.e. the 'normal' ones such as Walkers etc. I usually buy the Sour Cream and Onion Flavour as my favourite crisp flavour is cheese and onion but they were in offer in Tesco's a few weeks ago for £1 a bag instead of £1.55 so I thought I would try a few different flavours, one of them being Sea Salt with Crushed Black Peppercorns. Kettle Crisps are different from other crisps as they are handcooked in 'healthy' sunflower oil with no MSG, or artificial flavours or colours. The company was originally founded in 1978 in Salem, USA. This flavour of crisps comes in a ... Read the complete review

I saw these Kettle 'Chips' (or crisps as we in the UK say) in my local Asda supermarket recently and thought they sounded quite interesting. They are described as hand cooked potato chips with absolutely nothing artificial added to the ingredients. The company are really proud of this and list their merits in a 'good to know' list on the back of the packet. Kettle do not add MSG fats to the crisps. They also don't use artificial flavourings or colourings. The colour of the crisps is in fact determined by the natural sugars in the vegetable and this alters during the yearly growing cycle. Kettle also don't use hydrogenated fat and only fry in sunflower ... Read the complete review
