These are not the cheapest crisps on the market, a 225g bag costs me £1.80 from my local supermarket, though they can sometimes be bought on special offer. These crisps claim to be special because they are hand cooked, in small batches to ensure freshness. This gives them a crunchiness that is quite unique to kettle chips and because they are thicker than other crisps too, you definitely notice how much crunchier they are. 	Kettle Chips ... chips are produced by Kettle foods based in Salem, Oregan USA, although there is no witch craft here, just naturally grown, thick cut, rustic potato crisps. The chips are available in a variety of flavours including sea salt, salt & pepper, Jalapeno, Buffalo Bleu (blue cheese & chilli), Red onion, Salt & Vinegar and BBQ, there are loads of other flavours but these are the ones I have personally had experience with. Also they now vegetable crisps which replace the humble potato with chips of beetroot and parsnip (suprisingly good as it turns out, even for people who don t like veg...like moi). Chips in this context are just an American term for crisps, and these are just a bag of nice crisps. Priced at 60p for a 40g bag, they are one of the larger bags in the machine and have a rather posher feel than many brands. Kettle chips are manufactured by Kettle Foods. They are hand cooked potato crisps that have been produced since 1982.
