Advantages: Err, milk & hazelnuts...?!

Disadvantages: Fat & calories.

Yes, I am supposed to be eating healthy to try & shift the rest of the baby weight, but it's hard enough to resist a Kinder Bueno at the best of times, let alone on a multi-buy offer....so, at 3 for £1, into the trolley they went...

That was this morning, & by tea-time I'd already got through 2 of them...that's how moreish they are...!

Bueno's are made by Kinder, a German company renowned for making chocolate products tailored toward children. The introduction of the Bueno bar several years ago is their first foray into the adult chocolate market.

Bueno's now come in two guises - the milk chocolate version & the new addition to the family, the white chocolate version. Here, I'm concentrating on the original milk chocolate bar, which comprises 2 bars (each in 4 pieces) of milk chocolate covered wafer with a hazelnut filling. Now I'm not much of a hazelnut fan, but the filling isn't crunchy & nutty, it's a smooth & creamy hazelnut paste which is really scrummy! The wafer is light & crisp, & the chocolate is the usual Kinder high quality, making for a truly melt in the mouth snack.

Bueno's aren't the most environmentally friendly choccoie bar - each bar is individually wrapped, then wrapped again in a thick foil wrapper. However, this does make them a great chocolate bar for sharing (sorry, I know I said the 'S' word there - very naughty of me I know...!).

One bar of Bueno will give you 121 cals & 8.1g of fat (gulp! wish I hadn't read that now...that means I've consumed 32.4 g of fat today in Bueno's alone....yikes!). This is very high, even for choccie bars! But hey, the wrapper does state it contains milk & hazelnuts, so it can't all be bad...

...can it?...

...oh, come on people, give me a break here....!

Anyway, for those of you not on a diet, buy one & tuck in - you'll be glad you did!

(Typical price around 45p each, 3 for £1 at Asda currently, @ July 09).

Summary: Scrummy!
