Advantages: Lush chocolate, food AND a toy!

Disadvantages: Difficult eggs to open.

I could not sit by and allow Kinder Eggs to be put down any longer. Yes, they are ridiculously addictive, the toys are never as exciting as you think they will be and generally are sillilly (it's a word in my world)expensive...

....however, I love them. Althugh I am aware of the above points even before I part with my well earned money I still get the tinge of excitement as I wrestle with the plastic egg trying to prize out my treasure. The chocolate as a point I find quit nice, in fact I prefer it to other brands, so either I'm very strange or it's simply a matter of taste, or both. Either way, one problem I would say is the plastic egg, I still to this day at the age of 21 have immense trouble opening it, but today- to my glee I have discovered they have changed the design, and I, all by myself, opened it in less than three minutes. Hopefully this was not a one off and is a permanant switch, but who knows.

I can explain the reason we all love Kinder Eggs and it's simply because we remember having them as children, when the toys did entertain us (in the days before xboxes and ipods). With age we have lost that amzement and excitement of what we will be getting, learning to put it together, the sense of achievment and pride as we look on our newly assembled toy, the sugary buzz from the yummy chocolate...ahhh those were the days.

My point being yes, now they appear cheap, unimpressive, but I don't think that's Kinder Eggs fault, sadly it is ours. Ask a child to write a review here, I bet theyll still be a winner (as long as said child is disallowed any modern electronic toys that leave the kinder toys paling in comparison, damn technology leaving yet another victim in time!)

Summary: Love them, no matter how old I get,
