... however toasts remarkably well and after crunching through the top layer you are met with a soft middle and crunchy bottom. If you are not a fan of slices as thick as doorsteps then this is a much lighter alternative, also ideal bread for sandwiches as you want to be able to taste the filling rather than just having a mouthful of bread. Kingsmill seems to always be on offer in the supermarkets and at the moment you can buy 2 loaves from Iceland for £1.50, so at that price its great to stock up on and dont forget th...more

You cant beat a bit of toast on a morning for breakfast, 2 slices of hot, fresh buttered toast sets you up for the day ahead. "Kingsmill Everyday" bread is the ideal loaf for this, packaged in a blue wrapper with the Kingsmill logo across the front the loaf claims to be "our deliciously soft white loaf" and "great everyday" and tells us that there are no artificial flavours or preservatives contained within. The GDA information is listed on the underside of the packet. A medium loaf of bread weighing 800gs will give the following daily allowance: Per slice: 93 Kcals 3.6g Protein 17.8g ...  Read the complete review

If I had a bigger budget then this would always be my bread of choice but sometimes I have to stick to cheaper products or just whatever is in the cupboard wherever I happen to be staying! This bread is provided in a polythene bread bag with a neck seal (which shows the best before date) and providing you are careful when opening the bag can easily be resealed and your bread will stay fresher for longer. I find that this stays soft for a good few days on average after purchasing and I normally freeze some when I get it so that I have a nice loaf in the freezer for toast at all times. The bread is brilliantly white & is deliciously soft, I always ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to bread I have to admit I'm rather fussy to what I will and won't eat. I am a bread bin and I consume about 8 slices of the stuff everyday (at least lol) and really it makes up the biggest part of what I consume, so to me it's really important! The Packaging: See through, navy blue and yellow plastic bag that houses about 18 slices of bread (give or take) in a row and ties with a yellow piece of plastic to one end of it and on that the best before date is clearly stamped on. On the front of the bag I'm told in large white lettering that it is Kingsmill 'Our Delicioulsy Soft White Loaf' and then I'm told that it is thick sliced and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The freshest, yummiest packaged loaf around . (625 words)

Kingsmill Great Everyday White is the bread I buy most often . Costing a pound per 800g loaf from Asda, it is available in medium or thick sliced - I tend to go for the thick slices, as I do like quite chunky sandwiches and toast, and find medium sliced bread just not big enough! The packaging is plastic, with bright blue and yellow on it and Great Everyday written on it in big white letters . The Kingsmill logo is also clearly visible, and the bread of course comes with a date tag around the sealed end telling you the best before date . I do find the plastic around this loaf a little flimsy . Normally, this wouldn't be a problem - except for the time I let my ...  Read the complete review

I tend to eat a lot of brown bread over white bread, but there are some foods that were created to be eaten with white bread. When I go for this sort of foods, I like to choose a good quality bread to enjoy them with. One option I occasionally go for is the Kingsmill Everyday Bread. Brand: Kingsmill Packaging: plastic blue bag Appearance: thick, pale Taste: bland Texture: chewy Price: £1 to £1.50 Availability: most good stores and supermarkets Now we've outlined the basics we can look a little further. The brand to begin with is quite well known, so if you are already familiar with the greatness of Kingsmill, it gives ...  Read the complete review
