... didn't rate them overall, others have been far fluffier and even toasted in a toaster they have tasted better than these. I just don't know where Kingsmill have gone wrong here, for bread they are excellent but not for crumpets. On a more positive note, they are not bad for you nutritionally wise, only containing 99kcals, 1.3g of sugar, 0.4g of fat of which 0.1g are saturates and only 1.2g of salt, so eaten with a little butter would make an ideal supper or breakfast but only if they had tasted as nice as they s...more

Premium Review Kingsmill Love to toast Crumpets: I Love To Toast Any Kind Of Bread! (403 words)

I fancied something different from the cereal that I have been having recently so when I spotted these Kingsmill Love To Toast Crumpets on the ocado.com website for 70p (for 6) I just had to throw some in to my virtual basket because I generally love Kingsmill products and I didn't think that this one would let me down. They come in a plastic wrapper and a piece of card holding the 6 crumpets in place. It's a shame that the outer packaging can't be recycled as it's just taking up more space in the bin! I toasted them on the usual setting that I use to give golden brown toast and then I spread them with butter (quite a nice dollop) and then added ...  Read the complete review

My family love crumpets especially during the winter months when they really fit in the comfort food category. There's only two of us living here but my son is a frequent and always hungry visitor and he too has a crumpet weakness and because they disappear so quickly I usually buy the largest size at the cheapest price - both Tesco and Sainsbury's sell twelve for 67p. Bargain! However recently I have found myself reading quite a number of crumpet reviews which in general seem to praise the more expensive brands and decry the cheaper alternatives and I am forced to ask myself just how different can crumpets be? This was my first mistake because searching on ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to things like crumpets, i always tend to buy supermarket branded ones, as a- there cheaper, and b-i thought that all crumpets look and taste the same. Now i am partcial to the odd crumpet every now and again, spread with good old proper country butter, and a nice cup of tea. On a recent shopping trip i came across the 'Kingsmill love to taste crumpets on offer' 2 packs for £1.00, and if have read any of my reveiews you know that i always like a good offer!! So i chucked a couple of packs in the trolley. ~The crumpets~ They come in quite a colorful yellow and clear packaging, with the words' Kingsmill love to toast ...  Read the complete review

Kingsmill crumpets come in a brightly coloured yellow and transparent package. This makes the brand easy to spot on the supermarket shelf and more importantly allows you to inspect your crumpets before purchasing. In each pack you will get six crumpets. Kingsmill crumpets are a well established brand available in most of the main supermarkets and are a competitive choice in comparison to the other major crumpet brands. Kingsmill crumpets are designed to be one of the easiest and most convenient foods to cook. Just pop them under a grill. Under a medium grill they should take about two or three minutes to toast although this might take some practice as it is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kingsmill Love to toast Crumpets: My crumpet falls flat! (542 words)

I do love crumpets. Of late my Mum has insisted in getting Sainsbury's own ones and I'm the only one that eats them and I hate them but then I eat them so I'm not wasting them but she wont listen that I'm really not keen! It's been driving me mad so when mum had been to Asda just for a change of scenery I was very pleased indeed when I saw these in the bread bin! The Packaging... Bright yellow and clear packaging with a clear window on the front so you can see your crumpets! On the front I'm told it is a Kingsmill product, 'Love to toast, 6 crumpets'. I'm not sure if they only come in packs of six but they are all I have seen so they may be ...  Read the complete review
