Advantages: Taste, freshness

Disadvantages: Size

You want to know what the problem with insomnia is? Well it's half past 2 right now give or take a couple of minutes, and I'm hungry, and would quite like a snack, so i trudge off down the wooden hill. Open the treasure trove that doubles as a cupboard and of course we find the good old typical staple foodstuff, you know the sort of things, cuppa-soups, can of beans and...ooh whats this I see, shiney and red. Looking like a piece of shiney treasure in the late night (or more accurately early morning...darkness), now this is what I can eat, I can't really do some beans and sausage at 2:30 can I really?

So I'll take the bone idle 21 year old guy option and take the biscuit, bugger off back to bed and try to sleep once more feeling as though I need to, rather than feeling tired. Now If any smart arses are still reading and want to point out, eating a chocolate biscuit at half 2 won't help me sleep, I do realise it, but I'm hungry so i'm going to eat it, and make you all jealous of what is suddenly becoming a rather tasty midnight snack. Sadly this sort of snacking is the reason for my ever increasing waistband.

So Kit Kats, the good old chocolate that we've all had at least once (again smart arses who want to leave comments saying "I've never had one"...no one cares :-p), as a child, in our pack lunches, on a school trip. Are chocolate covered wafer's, in either 4 or 2 fingers (sadly my dear mother's treasure chest only had the smaller version, they must have been cheaper) variations.

The bar's were an idea put forward by one of the workers in Rowntrees, so I hope someone gave that man a medal, because these are wonderous, simple, tasty and wonderous.
Imagine if you will, a wafer finger, a pool of melted nestle chocolate...put the two together and you have a kit kat, see what could be simpler? (...letting the chocolate solidify into a giant chunk I assume...). Now despite it being tasty and simple the fingers have one or two flaws, mainly the size, as I'm now on my second since starting this piece. Their about 2-3 inches long, and 1/2 an inch tall and wide (approx) which means their not very large, so you do need a fair few of them to fill you up.

There size is excuseable, as long as (parents take note) your using them for an under 12 year olds pack lunch, us menly men (aka-fat bastards) would devour 3 of these and start vaying for blood if there wasn't a fourth available. Which comes somewhat from their moreish taste, as opposed to their crunchy and fresh texture, I'm assuming their protective armour (a tin wrapper) suffices to keep them crisp and...well...wafery.

The biggest question is, like creame eggs, how do you eat yours? Do you suck like Jemma Jameson and slowly, sexually, slide your tongue around the brown covered finger, or do you shovel it into your mouth in one fell swoop, or alternatively bite it in half, feel the crunch of the wafer, the sweet of the chocolate and chew away, or do you Bug's bunny it, and nibble it quickly gnawing away like a beaver on a stick.

Personally I'm a bite it and eat quickly type of guy, which sadly means I'm usually lacking on the full experience, though with the size of them, it's like getting a ham-shandy (it's 10 to 3 damnit, if I want to stick jokes about masturbation in here I will), as opposed to you know, a double fingered twix. Now they are much thicker, longer and around the same sort of price bracket...though arguably less tasty.

So in summary, a nice biscuit, but too small...so I'm off for my third since starting this.

Right final one...otherwise this chest is gonna be empty.

Summary: Nice but a bit wee
