As I have got older I have grown to enjoy dark chocolate a lot more than I ever used to, I still enjoy milk chocolate in fact I have eaten a bar of Cadbury milk this evening after dinner however increasingly I find myself selecting dark chocolate to eat so I was intrigued to try a dark chocolate version of Kit Kat.

I thought that a nice mug of coffee would be the ideal accompainment and I was not wrong. The bar does have a nice smell to it when you rip the wrapper off and it looks like the standard two finger kit kat in shape except that the chocolate is a darker brown.

It still has the bit at the end which is just chocolate and there is still the wafer in the middle surrounded by chocolate however this chocolate is a lot more bitter and not as creamy as the milk version and I find it combines really well with the sweet wafer filling. In fact as a companion to coffee it is ideal.

The chocolate was nice and thick and there is a nice crunch when you bite into it, I had left mine in the fridge for a while and this made it a little firmer than if it was just off the shelf.

This is a nice addition to the range by Nestle and one I would buy again.
