Advantages: They taset great.
Disadvantages: ?
I love Kit-Kat biscuits and when they brought out the mint ones I loved them too so I was fairly sure i would like the dark chocolate version just as much if not more and I was completely correct.
Everyone knows what a Kit-Kat biscuit is and the dark chocolate version is obviously just the normal Kit-Kat but with dark chocolate rather than milk.
The dark chocolate however seems to give the Kit-Kat a complete new lease of life. The dark chocolate seems to go together with the wafer centre even better than the milk chocolate did and it would seem to me that Nestle have just created the ultimate biscuit.
I say just created but in fact the dark chocolate Kit-Kat has been around for a while now, it was originally meant as just a limited edition but I guess sales were too good to take it back off the market and I am glad of that.
I rarely if ever buy the original Kit-Kats now, for as good as they are the mint and the dark chocolate ones are much better. The richness of the dark chocolate is just so much more pleasurable and it seems to take away a bit of the sweetness as dark chocolate has a bit of a bitter taste to it.
The price and the calorie count is very similar between all the Kit-Kat offerings and a packet of the dark chocolate two finger versions can be purchased in Asda for £1.29 for a pack of ten but they are almost always on a two for £2 offer along with the other Kit-Kat varieties and other biscuits too. For me it is always a ten pack of mint and a ten pack of dark Kit-Kat's please and thank you very much!
Summary: Much better than the milk chocolate version.

- 08/05/09 I love these things. They're the best thing Nestle ever did to Kit-Kats. Apparently they were voted new product of the year last year. I would have voted for them! |
