Advantages: Taste amazing

Disadvantages: One is not enough!

I am a huge fan of dark chocolate especially which is why I picked up a packet of these when they were on offer in Sainsbury's a few weeks a go.

What are they?
Kit Kats are basically thin, rectangular sticks of chocolate with layers of wafer through the middle. You can get them in sticks of two and four.

The smell
When you opened the foil that the Kit Kat is wrapped in, you get this almighty whiff of that sweet chocolate which makes me want to shove the whole thing in my mouth there and then.

The texture.
I love snapping off a stick and hearing that lovely sound and I especially love it when they have been in the fridge. The chocolate is nice and cold and it's a bit harder to bite into. The wafer is also quite hard but soon softens up when you start chewing.

There are two ways of eating it; you can either have it with a brew and suck all of the chocolate off and be left with a complete mess of a wafer or you can do it the way I prefer to. Nibble at both ends which have around half an inch of just Nestle chocolate and then demolish the rest of the stick very quickly taking little bites.

When you bite into the Kit Kat you will feel the crunch between your teeth then as you continue chewing the chocolate melts into the wafer and everything goes a little soggy and sticks to your mouth.

The taste
The Kit Kat has a nice bitter taste to it and somehow the wafer adds to this and makes the whole thing really work. You can tell the chocolate is of good quality and this and the wafer combined makes for a nice light treat that really satisfies a sweet tooth.

I do think that these are by far much better than the original bar and hope that it does stick around. It just give them that extra edge and it makes a change to have one covered in dark chocolate rather than the usual milk chocolate.

The only downside to these is that I can't just eat one! They are only 106 calories each so I suppose that's not a bad thing!

Over all I would definitely recommend that you give these a try especially if you love dark chocolate like me. They are nice without being too bitter and the wafer adds a bit of texture to the whole thing.

Summary: I can't stop at one!
