Advantages: sweet
Disadvantages: sugar content
Kit-Kats are a real favourite in this house, particularly the chunky variety, which I think are stunning. My wife is constantly on a fitness and weight-loss binge, and so these ended up in the house.
The Kit Kat 2 Finger Dark combines the traditional chocolate coated wafer that is the Kit Kat, but replaces the milk chocolate with dark. Dark chocolate contains 50% less sugar than milk chocolate, and is considerably more healthy that milk chocolate.
So how does it taste? The wafer is normal - nice and crunchy, and fairly plain tasting with just a little sweetness. It makes a satisfactory crunching noise as you eat it, which is always nice to experience (it's weird how sound plays such a role in food enjoyment).
The dark chocolate (to me) tastes stronger of cocoa than milk chocolate. It's not so diluted, and therefore has a stronger power to it. However, this isn't a positive in my opinion, as I prefer the creaminess of milk chocolate.
Of course, at 2 fingers, it's quite small, and I have to say it's not really enough for me (I need at least 4). However, it is the perfect size for children, and would make a small but tasty addition to a packed lunch box.
All in all, I will be sticking to the milk chocolate as I think it tastes a lot better, but for those of you who are health conscious, particularly in what you give to kids, it's a great bar.
Summary: do it
