Advantages: Tasty
Disadvantages: None
I really do have a sweet tooth and always like to have something in the house to nibble on whilst working (as I work from home) and more often than not this is mixture of biscuits, chocolate bars and the like. Recently whilst in Asda I came across the 9 packs of Kit Kat's that were on offer for £1. I bought a plain packet for my husband and then for me I decided to go for the orange flavoured ones. I love orange chocolate and these are no exception to this but, I really have to share why I believe they are so good as I ate three of the smalls bars in one sitting!
What are they?
They are the popular Kit Kat's bars that have been combined with an orange flavouring. Ideal for those who like their chocolate a bit different or even just a change from the usual bars!
The packaging:
It is very easy to tell that these are a Kit Kat bar as the packaging is the same as the plain ones with the logo splashed across the front. Along with that it is pretty obvious that they are orange flavoured as half of the wrap is orange coloured with a picture of a couple of oranges too! There would be no mistaking what flavour it is!
The kit Kat's are all individually wrapped and are then all in one long packet. I am not really sure why they decided nine bars was the right amount as the packet is quite long and flimsy because of this but, I don't mind either way! The more the merrier, I say.
The smell:
As soon as you open the bar you can smell the scent of orange. I wouldn't really say as such it is a citrus type scent like a real orange but, you are well aware that is the aroma you can smell. The scent to me is just gorgeous and I love the anticipation of biting into one of these kit Kat's once I get a whiff of the chocolate and orange together!
The taste:
It is simply delicious in my opinion! The mixture of the chocolate and orange together is divine and not too overpowering. I really could eat too many of these in one go and as I said I did eat three because I found them so nice! The chocolate is not too sickly and the orange flavour really gives it a different edge to a classic chocolate treat.
Price:
I paid £1 per pack of nine two fingers bars. These were currently on offer at the time in Asda but, normally for the pack of this size expect to pay around £1.20 give or take depending on where you buy them from!
Overall opinion:
I think these are an ideal snack item or to go into a lunch box as they are a decent size without being too big and are not too heavy to eat - I say this because with the bar having a combination of water and chocolate it breaks it up a little. They state on each bar and on the main wrapper that each is only '107 calories'. I do think this is much better than some of the other chocolate bars out there but, for such a small bar I am not sure if this is really good or bad!
Summary: A take a break chocolate bar with ornage!
