Kit Kat Orange

Traditionally speaking I am not a fan of orange flavoured chocolate. For years I have been given a Terry's chocolate orange as a Christmas present and normally I usually swap it or give it away to someone else. This year however I tried it because my girlfriend was eating it and I found it to be actually quite nice. So when I seen the Kit Kat orange in my local store I decide to give them a try to see if they were any good.

What is a Kit Kat?

A kit Kat is a wafer biscuit covered in chocolate. In this instance the chocolate is Orange flavour. Kit Kats are famous for having two sticks that can be separated from each other. I always felt that this made it feel like you were getting twice as much when I was younger.

Price and availability

Kit Kats are available in many places such as office vending machines, supermarkets, corner shops etc. Orange flavour is not as widely available but they can be found in most decent supermarkets. I bought mine in Tesco at a cost of £1.39 and they came in a 10 pack format. Each bar contains 107 calories and 5.4g of fat.

My opinion

I was pretty impressed by this product. The packaging on this product is orange instead of the famous kit Kat red. The biscuit is wrapped in light tin foil which is easily penetrated by ones nail. Once opened the smell of the orange was quite distinct.

The biscuits are still as good as I remembered them and it was easy to break them into two separate biscuits. The chocolate is light milk chocolate and it would be very easy to melt in the hand. It's even easier to melt in the mouth and it taste much nicer that way too. The orange is definitely noticeable but it's not too overpowering. Overall this was a lovely biscuit bar but I wouldn't want to have for lunch a few days in a row as it could get a bit sickening.

Summary: Nice for a change
