Advantages: Can be divided into fingers.
Disadvantages: If you eat it all in one go, 233 calories is quite a lot.
One of the chocolate snacks that has been around since I was born some decades ago.
The standard Nestle Kit Kat comes in the 2 finger or 4 finger variety. Between each finger there is a small connecting part of chocolate that essentially provides a crease in the confection whereby the consumer can easily separate each finger. This separation mechanism is a great way to divide the snack over time - for example you could have one finger during your morning break, another 2 at lunch and then one in the afternoon if you have the four finger variety. With the two finger, a good tactic is to have one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Each finger itself contains layers of wafers upon chocolate upon another wafer and so on. The snack itself is extremely tasty and gives you a satisfying crunch upon consumption. At 233 calories for the four finger variety, this forms around 10% of the RDA for a man and using the spacing technique described, can be a good and calorie-effective means of treating youself. The four finger KitKat is the one which you more regularly encounter in shops and is priced normally at a reasonable 50p, more so from vending machines inevitably. All in all, a good chocolate snack which if wielded properly can stop you from over-treating yourself.
Summary: A great snack.

- 22/10/09 I don't buy Nestle products. They are a sly, backhand company. Good review though. |
