Advantages: Tastes great

Disadvantages: Obviously not good for you

Nestle Kit Kat is one of the chocolate bars that I crave most frequently. It is a classic chocolate bar and even though they keep playing around with the original formula (making chunky bars and adding orange flavouring), I just keep coming back to the original. None of the other variations can beat it.

Yesterday evening I bought a Kit Kat to share with my boyfriend after he gave a small speech to do with his work. I wanted a little treat for both of us and I chose a Kit Kat because it only has 233 calories per bar. Since we split it, that made only about 115 calories each for our chocolate treat. If you don't want to share your Kit Kat with anyone but still only want 115 calories, the two-fingered Kit Kats do exist but they aren't sold individually. I don't dare buy a bag because I know if I did I wouldn't stop at just one.

Kit Kat now comes in a completely sealed foil packet that is supposed to improve its freshness. I think that it probably does because the Kit Kat we ate was even crispier than I remember them being when they were simply wrapped in foil and paper and not well sealed. I also think the new packaging cuts down on the total amount of packaging and therefore creates less waste.

Kit Kats are made from smooth milk chocolate from Nestle. The chocolate may not be the best quality but it is good enough that it doesn't detract from the overall experience. It blends perfectly with the crunchy biscuits that I think have some tiny amount of cream filling between the layers as well (although this isn't mentioned on the packet), making this a very decadent chocolate bar.

Kit Kats cost around 47p bought individually. Well worth it in my opinion but I do wish you could buy the 2 fingered ones individually!

Summary: The original and the best
