... the traditional bright red Kit Kat labelling and somegold piping around the outside and inside you have the traditional four finger kit kat with each finger joined by a thin strip of chocolate which is easy to snap off so you can enjoy it one finger at a time. In all 66% of a Kit Kat consists of dark chocolate and then there is the wafer biscuit in the middle. The chocolate has a nice rich taste to it that suggests the cocoa content is reasonably high and the more mellow sweet wafer is a nice compliment to the st...more

Premium Review KitKat Fine Dark: Take A Walk On The Dark Side (476 words)

One of the most memorable and successful advertising campaigns of the 1990's was for Nestles Kit Kat. Who can forget their famous catchphrase, "Have a break, have a Kit Kat". It must have convinced millions of more customers to try this lovely wee chocolate wafer bar, as ever since it was first produced way back in 1935, Kit Kat has been a firm favourite of British and Irish consumers, (it's the UK's leading confectionary brand) and has long been one of Nestles' biggest money spinners. Everybody these days surely knows what a Kit Kat looks like, in its distinctive red and white wrapper. It's on sale practically anywhere you can buy a biscuit or ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Darker Choc (154 words)

KitKat Fine Dark is the plain chocolate blend with over fifty per cent cocoa solids. It is a slightly chunkier size biscuit than the traditional Kit Kat snack and allows me to enjoy my favourite snack with a dark chocolate coating. This classic British brand continues to be one of the most popular chocolate bars in the UK. It became a global brand when the Rowntree company was taken over by Nestlé. They continue to be made in the UK in York, and Nestlé has several production sites across Europe. There are now many varieties including the obnoxious peanut butter catastrophe. But the Fine Dark has potential. It is aimed at lovers of dark chocolate and comes in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review KitKat Fine Dark: Have a break have a dark Kitkat. (434 words)

Have a break, have a KitKat! At least thats how the slogan goes. You can purchase these as two fingers or four fingers but whichever size you purchase it is cheaper to buy them as a multipack makes each one that little bit cheaper (and means that there are more around the house should you get peckish!). 9 Packs of 2 fingers are currently £1.39 in Tesco with an individual 4 finger packet costing 44p and 8 packs of 4 fingers costing £2.09. This is fair reasonable for the nice snack but I always advise just stocking up when they are on offer. Kit Kats are the ideal snack for lunchboxes or just for a snack mid afternoon or whatever. The KitKat is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Perfection in a bar (341 words)

The Kitkat dark is just awful, awful because it makes me want more and more of it, and I might end up as round as I am tall if it has it's way! Lets get the nutritional bits and pieces out of the way first. Per 4 finger bar we have 236 kcal 2.5g of protein 25g of carbohydrate 13.3g of fat So that makes the bar 55% carbohydrates and almost 30% fat, but what the heck it's a chocolate bar, you're not going to be eating it if you're worried about your weight. As far as allergies go there's nothing on the pack to warn about nuts or anything similar, but obviously it does have milk/lactose in it. But ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review KitKat Fine Dark: This is not just an ordinary kitkat, it's a dark kitkat! (362 words)

Ooh, I do love a bit of dark chocolate every now and again. Especially when it is in the form of one of my favourite choc bars! It seems that I am not the only one who feels this way as kitkat was voted product of the year 2008 in a consumer survey at product innovation. The kitkat dark bar is in exactly the same layout and packaging as the standard 4 bar kit except it is made with dark chocolate (bet you couldn't have guessed that one!) The best thing about it though, is that my son doesn't like dark chocolate so he can't pull his usual trick of scoffing his bar then begging for some of mine! The only problem I find with this ...  Read the complete review
