Advantages: Overcomes the annoying sweetness of the original

I was very pleased when this was released, because for me it overcame the main problem with the regular kitkat. It shares the same fun shape, the same light wafer texture, but it just takes the edge off the aggressive sweetness of its lighter cousin. The dark chocolate is properly dark, with about 50% cocoa, so it's not a half-hearted effort. As a result, it has a deeper, more chocolate flavour which goes better with tea and coffee in my opinion (coffee in particular, as it is able to stand up to the flavour).

I still would find it hard to eat more than one, but whereas I'd just feel sickly with the original, with this one it's because I feel a lot more satisfied. The luxurious brown and gold branding seems appropriate, but otherwise it's pretty much the same.

Now if only they did a chunky version of this!
