Advantages: Nice taste

Disadvantages: None really

Whilst this is not the best dark chocolate I have ever had the pleasure to eat it is a strangely addictive offerring in the form of the Kit Kat Fine Dark which is a relatively new addition to the Kit Kat range. It retails for around the 50 to 55p mark and is a lovely four finger snack particularly with a huge steaming mug of good quality coffee.

It comes wrapped in a dark chocolate wrapper with the traditional bright red Kit Kat labelling and somegold piping around the outside and inside you have the traditional four finger kit kat with each finger joined by a thin strip of chocolate which is easy to snap off so you can enjoy it one finger at a time.

In all 66% of a Kit Kat consists of dark chocolate and then there is the wafer biscuit in the middle. The chocolate has a nice rich taste to it that suggests the cocoa content is reasonably high and the more mellow sweet wafer is a nice compliment to the strong dark chocolate. There is a nice firm crunch when you first bite into each finger and this is a satisfying chocolate bar to enjoy and savourrather than chomping through it at break neck speed.

Being dark chocolate I guess this will appeal more to adults than children as they tend to go for the sweeter milk chocolate varieties however I'm quite happey weith either option and this is a nice tasty treat especially with my afternoon coffee.

Summary: Nice new variety
