Kit Kat Senses - well if it's ok for the skinny little girls from Girls Alound it must be ok for me.
I'm sure you've all seen the television ad where Girls Aloud are all dressed up coming out of an event and then Sarah slows down and sits on the steps to eat a chocolate bar with all the paparazzi watching. Well, she is eating a new Kit Kat Senses bar. Kit Kat Senses are now the sponsor of their current tour so a good tie in for their marketing. These ad's were on the television a few months ago and now they seem to have come back with a vengence. Girls Aloud must have a new album coming out or it's the run up to Christmas, one or the other!
Kit Kat's have always been one of my favourites and I love the fact that this bar is a twist on the original. I first tried one of these bars when I received one of these bars as a trial sample at Kings Cross station. The marketing ploy definitely worked as I now tend to buy them quite a bit although not as much ass the original because they do not seem to be stocked in as many places.
Apparently Nestle who produce Kit Kat used Girls Aloud so they could market this bar as a healthy chocolate bar that gives women a bit of ME time. According to their website, " If they're not recording another chart topping single, they're on the road to performing a sell-our tour or dodging the paparazzi. The nations hardest working girl band, Girls Aloud are always on the go. With such a busy schedule the girls really enjoy the time they do get to relax. And just like all women, they love the occasional me time treat. All the better that Kit Kat senses has
just 165 calories. So if we eat this chocolate bar do we get to look like them, I don't think so but I do like the idea of the bar only having 165 calories!
If you are not familiar with a Senses bar yet it is a chocolate bar with a creamy hazelnut praline centre. It still consists of the traditional wafer finger but the bar has approximately 6 bit sized pieces stuck together that you can break apart (much like a Cadburys dairy milk type bar) which then have thick chunks of the hazelnut praline inside, all covered with gorgeous chocolate. The praline is lovely and smooth and has a really great nutty taste. It still comes in the traditional red packaging with Kit Kat written on the front.
If you're looking for a lovely new, nutty chocolate bar then this is for you, it definitely gets my vote of approval.
