Advantages: small enough not to feel too guilty but big enough to satisfy
Disadvantages: have to find secret hiding place for them to keep them for yourself
After reading many reviews on this bar and seeing them go through the tills at a rapid rate I did eventually fall into the trap of buying one myself to give my own opinion of it. What is it?
The KitKat Senses bar.
The Wrapper...
Predominately red in colour about six inches long ish. With Red lettering reading Kitkat on a white oval background, next to this is the words Senses in white with a bar showing the insides of the chocolate confection.
Looks tempting and very morish.
Having done my usual shopping and once I paid for and got this item to my car, I sat in the car and shut the door. I could not wait a moment longer I had to open the plastic wrapper.
The smell and look....
Was of chocolate of course which was quite strong. It showed a bar about 3/4 of an inch around in the usual block effect somewhat like the chunky version of kitkat but there was a visible difference. It had about five segments to it I seem to remember but have to confess I did not count them. Too busy eating.
The smell
As I said was very strongly chocolate and when you bite into it you get an after shock of hazelnut. This is due to the Hazelnut smooth moose inside. I suppose you could liken it to Kinder but I do not think it tasted anything like them.
Taste Test...
Running my tongue along the chocolate it was to be expected it would taste good. Inside once I bit the first segment in half I found an assult to my mouth of the Hazelnut filling which sits neatly on the top half of this delight and then I found the familiar biscuit base of Kitkat as we all know it. I was lost. In such a cloud of chocolate and Hazelnut that only Nestle could perfect wonderfully nutty.
Five or six segments by this time I had lost the count and relished the last piece with a sense of loss, Happiness and utter sinfulness as I had gobbled the whole thing in the carpark with a silly grin on my face it must have looked a sight. ( And before I get smutty remarks on that one I was talking chocolate bars here.)
Haaaa......
Now sitting with the empty packet still in my pocket I write to you all with my experience of this delicious temptation and say to you all that have not tried it WHY NOT?
They are delicious and I am now a Kitkat junkie!
Price insignificant around 50p mark but really with something this delicious who cares?
Summary: Definitely one for the shopping basket
