Advantages: A lighter snack

Disadvantages: Not as good as it could be

The inexplicable urge to eat chocolate was upon me again! Dashing round the supermarket like a rabid dog slobbering at all the delights I could chose from I selected, just for something a little different, Kit Kat Senses. The slim and slender packaging wooed me into thinking this might be a lower calorie chocolate hit that would hopefully be enough to calm my jangling chocolate urging nerves! At 48p I barely winced as I handed over my pennies, knowing full well I was about to make a whole 2p profit out of my review, happy days.

Back in the office I had eaten the obligatory sandwich and cup of tea, the chocolate urge had not this time succeeded in making me eat it prior to anything else!
The name KitKat inspires confidence, a well known and trusted brand name and I love the standard KitKat fingers, as I stated before the packet is slender and distinctly red and lists that it has 165 calories and 9.5g of fat. Not as bad as a bag of crisps!
A picture of a hazelnut and the pictorial image of the inside of one of the 'bits' showed what looked like layers of chocolate, wafer and a hazelnut praline. Yummy!

The bar itself is made up of five 'bits' each bit is a mouthful and they easily break off which is nice as you can relax and enjoy it section by section. A nice little swirl on the top of each 'bit' make it look distinctly female and I suspect has been created for us girls to fill the void the manly Kitkat Chunky left us with.
Well it tastes like KitKat chocolate which is good. You get a satisfying and pleasant crunch from the wafer and just a little bit of praline creaminess, personally I felt the flavour was lost a little underneath a thick chocolate layer and the wafer but it did taste different from a KitKat.

All in all its rather tasty with a cup of tea but does lack the chocolate hit of my favourite snacks.

I suppose if im honest I was expecting the luxurious creaminess of a Kinder Bueno and this product just doesn't deliver in the same way. Yeah it tastes good but it had a funny after taste that even with all my efforts for this review cannot put my finger on. I know if I wanted a Kinder Bueno I should have bought one, but I think for a product that is so like it you would have thought they might have tried a little harder to match it.

The product does contain nuts so is not suitable for you poor people with nut allergies and as the main ingredient is Milk Chocolate which contains milk powder will also not go down to well with the vegans/diary intolerant. Other than that nothing to frightening in the ingredients.

Sadly this wont be becoming a regular snack for me but a good do!

Summary: A nice little snack but not going to be a regular favourite....
