Advantages: nice in moderation.
Disadvantages: fattening, sickly
I tried one of these at a friend's house today. I'm sure you're already familiar with KitKats so I wont patronize you by going into detail about them, other than that they're a thin two-fingered chocolate bar with a wafer middle.
Aesthetically, these things look posh and decadent. The sort of thing you might expect a overweight, middle-aged businesswoman to keep in the drawer in her office. However, this look is quite misleading. They are rather expensive and noticeable smaller than a regular kitkat, but still nothing special in terms of product quality, although they are quite tasty.
Kitkat senses are essentially just kitkats with hazelnut butter either side of the wafer exactly like a Kinder Bueno. However the butter is much thicker which means that whilst less likely to melt all over your pockets after a nanosecond or two, they also leave the mouth quite dry when eaten in one go. Fortunately, the KitKat engineers have added something to remedy this. - They come in bars of 5 rectangular cubes, similar in design and dimension to galaxy chocolate. These make snacking on them easier to control in terms of quanitity. They can be eaten at various intervals throughout the day, which makes the consumer feel like less of a fatty. They are rather fattening and sickly. (I mean come on, what did you expect when you heard they contained something called "Hazelnut Butter?")
Keeping them in the fridge causes the inside to harden and makes eating them a much less sexual experience. When refrigerated it feels more like eating a Riban biscuit than some kind of hopelessly decadent ostentatious chocolate sensation. They are a little too sweet for my liking and I got the strong impression that this product is aimed primarily at women.
