First off, dooyoo's description of the product is wrong - that's Damski they are talking about! Koldamer is a Polish cheese with a brown rind, it's a still relatively squeezable semi-hard Swiss type cheese that is a hybrid of Tilsit (German cheese originally made by Dutch immigrants in what is now Sovetsk, Russia then Prussia) and Swiss cheese, you'll notice that it has very small holes like Tilsit yet has more of a Swiss texture. Hopefully by the time it has reached the shops, it has been aged for around 4 months, it is more or less completely without a smell.
