I like having 'nibbles' in the kitchen for when I want a little something without having to feel like I need to eat a whole packet or bar of it. Peanuts aren't just for parties or to crack open at Christmas, or for guys in the pub with a beer. They're great to have on hand as a tasty snack, even if they are salty, high in fat and slightly addictive. I only buy KP peanuts because I find some supermarket brands can be quite different in terms of taste and texture. KP dates back to 1853, originally as a jam and sugar confectionary company, and it wasn't until 1948 that peanuts entered the production line. I would say KP are probably the most popular ... KP Orginal salted peanuts is a very tasty snack. I first tried these when I was younger. My nan would always buy a big tub of 'KP' salted peanuts at christmas for the family to share and they would be gone by the next day ! I kow that eating too mch salt is not good for me so I don't eat these nuts that often because I have found that they are covered in lots of salt. If you do not like a lot of salt but still enjoy eating nuts then you can buy KP nuts in a roasted flavour aswell. KP salted nuts are a source of protein, they are high in fibre, a source of vitamins B3 & H and they are also low in GI which is very good. The nuts come in a blue 90g foil ... After being in holiday in Turkey for a fortnight this summer, I grew accustomed to making sure I was getting not only plenty of water, but also plenty of salt. So when I came back I was desperate to cut down as I felt I was eating way to much salt and drinking way to much drink! It wasn't easy though and im doing it gradually. One thing that I have been eating to keep my salt intake high up is KP salted peanuts! We took a stash of these with us as we weren't sure they would be available to buy abroad!
