Kraft Philadelphia Light Description: Brand: Kraft / Cream Cheese. I must confess that I am a bit of a convert to Philadelphia Light. I bought Philadelhpia light 2 weeks ago on holiday near Barcelona with my friends. One of the girls in the group wanted it, and I jotted down notes because I knew it would be an item on Dooyoo. We paid 1.49 Euros (around 1.30Pounds) in a supermarket in Cassteldefells for the 300 gramms version. I am not sure how much it costs in ... Read the complete review

As I may have told you before, I am always trying to be healthy and always feel I am watching what I eat, of so I tell myself! For the past year or so, I have really enjoyed ryvitas with soft cheese spread on top, it has now spread to crackers with soft cheese as well as crispcakes. I have always loved dairy products including milk and cheese - either the hard varieties or soft cheese like 'Philadelphia'... I was brought up on this brand but as my mum has changed her eating habits a lot we now buy lighter varieties of famous brands when we can including this 'Light Philadelphia Medium Fat Soft Cheese' to cut down a ... Cheese, it is my downfall in life I reckon. I can cut out chocolate, beer, wine, crisps...but I find it impossible to say no to a bit of cheese on toast! That is why I have been looking at alternative choices when it comes to cheese, I know that cheese is almost pure fat, so it is good to have a look around for cheeses that ... I much prefer Philadelphia Light to the Extra Light, because it's got a much smoother, less powdery texture. For me, the Extra Light just takes the whole 'low fat' thing a bit TOO far - and as a 'professional' dieter, I can pretty much guarantee that you don't always have to exclude fat from your diet in an extreme way to lose weight. The key ... Read the complete review

Philadelphia is probably one of the better known cheese spread brands, and apparently its got good cause to be - as a brand name its been around since 1880, when the cream cheese was named 'Philadelphia' after the american city that was, at the time, thought to be the heart of fine dining and fine foods . I am not a big dieting buff nor do I go out my way to buy good for you foods but if there is a product that tastes as good in the light version as it does in the standard then I will choose the lighter option.
