Advantages: Too many too list ......

Disadvantages: Kids like them too!!

One of my colleagues brought a packet of Lidl's Mr Choc Mini Jaffa Cakes into work the other day and suggested I try 1 - and boy do I wish I hadn't! I honestly think their addictive!!

I must admit that I have always been a fan of 'simply the best' ever McVities Jaffa Cakes but these definitely come a close second. There is always something more appealing about bitesize food too for me. Perhaps it's psychological as I am always concerned about what I eat etc. I can just imagine the battle goin on in my head - 'should I? shouldn't I? course I should - I can always work it off at the gym right?

Sometimes - I'll admit it - I just need that chocolate fix and I do believe that these mini jaffa cakes are ones to enjoy without feeling guilty!! The Lidl one's have a different taste to the McVities ones. The orangey bit is much more tart but tasty. The sponge part isn't as full and light but I quite like this about these. These ones don't tend to peak in the middle like the original but personally I dont think this is a negative and it certainly doesn't affect their scrumtiousness!!

There are a 2 downsides to this product for me and the first is the packaging! These come in a little bag which you open up - a bit like a small bag of crisps - and I do like this concept. But the graphics are pretty poor and a bit boring. McVities definitely are way ahead in this area.

The second is that there is too much competition for them - my kids like them too!! If you haven't tried these yet I would definitely recommend that you do - they are only 69p.

My top tip and for an even tastier treat; I put mines in the fridge for a while before I intend to eat them!!

Summary: Little tasty treat
