Advantages: Smooth, creamy tasting

Disadvantages: Not as cheap as come choccie bars

The packaging for this Lindt chocolate bar is covered with distinguished looking things – There’s the lovely raised gold lettering, with a dragon logo next to the name Lindt;
a round seal with the date 1845 (which I take to mean that Lindt, or Lindt and Sprungli, to give them their full name, have been making chocolate since that date - “Maitre chocolatier Suisse depuis 1845” – my Swiss is non-existent but at a guess that could mean “master Swiss chocolate maker since 1845”).
So it all looks very indulgent and expensive.

That's all very well - but how does it taste?

The chocolate is made in Switzerland (the company is based in Kilchberg) and imported into the UK. As we all know Swiss chocolate is usually far better than anything on offer from the UK, so that's a good sign for starters.

The listed ingredients are very ordinary sounding, sugar, cocoa, butter, that kind of thing. There are no E numbers, and only “emulsifier” and “flavouring” look at all as they could be anything other than natural.

As for it’s dimensions, Lindt Excellence is definitely not what you could describe as a “chunky” chocolate bar – far from it. In fact it’s one of those that you can very easily snap pieces off without breaking your nails or resorting to the breadknife, as I’ve often had to do (Toblerone, Yorkie, you know the ones…)
No, this is a slender bar.

Weight of the bar = 100g
More than you should probably eat at one sitting, but it’s all to easy to do just that!

I like the sound of the bar that the dooyoo picture is of - the white chocolate one with chocolate chips... presume yours was just a plain milk chocolate one as you don't mention any choc chips? Lindt chocolate is delicious!
