Packaging

The packaging is very attractive and makes these bunnies appealing to both children and adults. They definitely have the ahhhhhhhhhhhh factor. Cute rabbit shaped chocolate with gold foil wrapping and a red neck tie fastened with a bow and a little bell (that really tinkles).

Brief History

Rodolphe lindt was probably the most famous chocolate maker of his day. In 1879 he developed a technique by which he could manufacture chocolate which was superior to all others. Using the "conche" ( A conche is an agitator that evenly distributes cocoa butter within chocolate so called becuse originally they were shaped like conch shells) he produced chocolate with a wonderfully delicate flavour and melting quality.

Taste and apperance

Colour light brown with a slight sheen to it and an even texture. smooth to touch. chocolate breaks with a distinct cracking noise. Rich, smooth and creamy with a hint of vanilla and a rich continental flavour ( for anybody who hasn't tried Lindt before it tastes like thorntons continental chocolates and is very rich and creamy).

To get the true taste its supposed to be at room temperature (so say the chocolatiers) but I prefer it straight from the fridge.

Overall

I love these the chocolate is delicious and very rich. They are high in calories and fat so you would probably be better just having these for a special treat. These bunnies make a great easter gift as an altrnative to an Easter egg.

Price and availability

The medium sized bunny is available in white and brown chocolate and priced at £2.99.

Very large bunny is £9.99 and I have only seen these in brown chocolate.

Very small bunny is 99 pence and I have only seen this in brown chocolate.

Usually only available around Easter and most supermarkets and shops stock them.
