Advantages: great packaging and taste

Disadvantages: expensive

I'm afraid that I'm one of those that got caught up with the whole "healthy eating" affair, that somehow later transformed into the painful "avoid all chocolate" affair. Long have I left all those chocolate bars in dusty drawers, all the opened chocolate opened but uneaten and hid in cupboards anything even mildly related to the chocolate category. Too long, evidently, for when I recieved a box of Lindt Lindor for Christmas, the taste was almost foreign.

Initially I believed it to be because of this needless abandonment of everyone's favourite treat, but I soon came to realise it as something more than that. Lindt is on a totally different level (and, unfortunately, price range) to all other chocolates. I remember munching on these and trying desperately to think of an adequate description to satisfy my own...well, satisfaction as well as my gift giver's generosity. I sat there, chewing and chewing, but no words came to mind. Finally, though, one simplistic simile did: "it's like eating clouds", I said. And it really was.

You unwrap these, and it's essentially a magnified malteser as far as appearance goes. But chocolate is all in the taste, is it not? So one bites into these and, beneath the chocolate shell, there is more chocolate...but this core is soft, creamy, perhaps swishy?

It's so difficult to appreciate other chocolate when one has tried Lindt. Lindt Lindor is essentially the chocolate bar, but in candy wrapper form I guess. It's convenient as I always had trouble with opening chocolate bar wrappers suitably; with these, I can open the box, grab one and walk off. But my own actions degrade this product! This is a product that I wouldn't mind, and have, given as a gift as well as obviously recieved. Lindt Lindor is a true treat.

Summary: Lindt Lindor is on a whole different level to other chocolate.
