Advantages: chocolate
Disadvantages: fat fat and more fat
The bright red box is particularly eye-catching, with its white, almost lace-like pattern creeping up the box. The words of the maker 'Lindt' in gold fancy writing with its logo and signature oval is at the top of the box, almost engraved in gold filigree.
The box is classy and expensive looking, the colours are eyecatching and rich. These are expensive, but they are not your normal everyday chocolate bars that you buy when collecting your morning paper, no sir, these are not normal everyday chocolates but a delight to be devoured in (secret) special moments :0)
~~~My memories~~~
I cannot remember the first time that I tasted a Lindt Lindor Chocolate. The memories of such are so distant now and replaced by much more recent memories of these fantastical, fabulous, sensuous balls of luxury.
What I do remember is the perfect globe of milk chocolate, wrapped carefully in a metallic red, silver, white and gold foil - both edges twisted neatly, giving the eye that old sweetie style look.
But! alas, they are far from the old style sweeties the Granny would remember. These sweeties are special, These are sensual, these are damn good, these are not, and I repeat not! For Sharing!! I will, however warn you to keep these little luxuries hidden from prying eyes and fingers. You will find that they will disappear fast!
~~~The Product~~~
A perfectly formed globe of the most delightful milk chocolate. But thats not all, it is deviously deceitful in making you believe that this is just milk chocolate - but it holds a surprise to literally surprise all. ''The Surprise?'' You all ask. Well my friends, the surprise is this - a near solid milk chocolate centre with a completely different taste, a completely different texture, a creamier, chocolatier taste with a smoother, richer, more dense texture but instead of something to chew on, it does something surprisingly and innovatively different. It Melts! It actually melts with the heat of, dissolves on you tongue, leaving a rich, thick chocolately river flowing around your mouth. A wonderful sensation leaving you wanting more and more of these delectable delights,. They are very rich in both texture and flavour, a perfect partnership a perfect combination .
Try these ice cold, straight from the fridge for a longer lasting pleasureable experience, allowing the the truffley centre to cool down sufficiently enough so that it takes longer to warm to their melting point.
Try these at room temperature, as they are supposed to be enjoyed and devoured, (I think this is the case anyway! They do not really last that long around me anyway!) thus allowing the melting centre to melt upon contact with your tongue.
The other way I have found these to be delightfully yummy is leaving them by the radiator for a few seconds, that is all it needs, so that the heat allows the centre to warm and melt slightly,. Rather than waiting for the centre to melt upon contact with your mouth, this time, once you have bitten into the outer shell, the now liquified centre floods your mouth and your sense within., (This is just a way that I enjoy these once in a while and is subject to your own tastes)
The main ingredient is sugar, with 31% (minimum) cocoa solids and 20% (minimum) milk solids, vegetable fats, cocoa butter, butterfat - all make up the large list of ingredients, but hey I didnt read those until I had eaten half the box :0(
The box does warn you that they may contain traces of hazelnuts and almonds, so are not suitable for people who suffer from nut allergies (I am so sorry to spoil it), they are made in Italy (but its a swiss chocolate?!? Confused), by master chocolatiers and are branded as a 'masterpiece'. Oh well - it is Christmas after all :0)
~~~My Special Surprise~~~
Just Imagine my delight when I found a 500g box of these hidden in the bottom of the gift bag from my colleagues at work for my recent birthday! "Open them!!" came the cry - they could tell by my face I was desperate to open them and take one of them, (just one I tell you!), from the box and devour the thick creaminess of this magical truffle,. the delectable taste that will send you to heaven! "I am so, so sorry, Boys and Girls, but unfortunately, when it comes to chocolate I am one evil and selfish person (evil laugh) and these are MINE ALL MINE!''
I have also listed this on Ciao x
Summary: A delightful, delectable chocolate leaves you wanting more and more
