Advantages: Delicious, delicious, delicious
Disadvantages: Too delicious!
These chocolates really are little pieces of heaven...
==My first taste==
I first tried these chocolates a couple of years ago, not being a big chocolate fan I thought I'd give them a go, I work part-time as a dance teacher and received my first box as a Christmas gift from one of my pupils - that pupil will always be my favourite now!! Ever since then these have been top of my Christmas and birthday list every year! I cannot get enough!
==Irresistibly Smooth==
They state on the box that these truffles are irresistibly smooth, and I can guarantee that they are the smoothest most melt in the mouth chocolates that have ever appeared on the market!
The outer shell of each individual ball is the beautiful Lindt chocolate, but this is not the best bit, once you have broken through this shell the inner heaven is revealed.......
The only way I can begin to describe this piece of magic is, it is buttery and creamy and instantly melts on the tongue, my mouth is watering thinking about it, and the box sitting alongside me is in danger of being raided once more!
==How I enjoy mine==
To begin with the house has to be empty - I don't want anyone disrupting my pleasure, I then like to make myself a nice coffee, take 4 truffles from the box (I keep them in the fridge as I find it increases the pleasure for me!). Then I find myself a comfy seat and begin to enjoy.......
.....Slowly the red wrapper is removed from the first delicious ball, I lay the wrapper flat and lay the chocolate on top, mouth watering in anticipation....
....I then bite through the outer shell and enjoy my first bite of the chocolate, I like to try and save the heavenly interior for a later bite. The chocolate is allowed to melt slowly in my mouth, perhaps taking a mouthful of coffee to aid the melting. The I will begin to enjoy the heart of the truffles, this is something not to be rushed, these four chocolates should take quite some time to enjoy.
==How often?==
I tend to get boxes for my birthday (earlier this week, for which I received 2 boxes), or Christmas, however, if I'm in need some cheering up, they are available in small packs, with just four balls in each - just perfect :o)
==Other flavours==
They are available in Milk, Plain and white chocolate flavours, and also now you can get them in other varieties including orange. My favourites are the milk and white chocolate varieties.
==The boring bits...==
Ok, so I'm sure you will have guessed by now, that something as delicious as this cannot be low in fat! And to honest there is no nutritional information on the box - which is probably just as well for me :o) They contain: Sugar, vegetable fat, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, lactose, butterfat, emulsifier (Soya lecithin), barley malt extract, flavourings, vanilla. (may contain traces of Hazelnuts and Almonds)
They are also not particularly cheap, a small 4 truffle box can cost from around 99p to £1.49, with the largest boxes selling for around £6. But lets be honest, they are definitely worth it! :o)
