Advantages: Lindor taste lovely and are nice and big, they have an unusual flavour

Disadvantages: They are very sweet and make me feel sick sometimes

I have had a box of Lindt Lindor chocolates in my cupboard since Christmas because I love them but they are too sweet for me and too sweet for my diet so I decided it was best for me to not even open them. Last night I had a little dinner party for my daughters, sons in law and grandaughters so after we had all eaten our meals I got my box of Lindor out for everyone to share.

They are quite big for individually wrapped chocolates. They are round and bigger than Maltesers but smaller than Ferrero Rocher and I think they are just the right size. Lindor chocolates are very easy to open because they are wrapped up like sweets and not in foil like most chocolates which can be hard to unwrap.

The Lindor chocolates smell lovely. They have a rich cocoa smell and also smell like they are going to be sweet when you eat one. The smell makes me think how nice it would be to work in the Lindt factory.

I wasn't going to have one but perhaps I will and I might not be able to stop at one. Popping one in my mouth I let the smooth milk chocolate melt and as it melts it goes nice and soft. A Lindor chocolate has a smooth chocolate shell and inside is a softer and even smoother chocolate truffle filling. The shell is not a hard one like a Minstrel but it is proper Lindt chocolate.

When the shell goes soft and starts melting it will start to collapse in on itself and this is when you get to the lovely truffle filling. The filling melts in my mouth and gives my tongue a lovely chocolate coating. It almost melts to liquid and ends up like the nicest melted chocolate you could think of.

Lindor does not quite taste like any other chocolate. The milk chocolate is very good quality and tastes better than Cadburys or even Green and Blacks chocolate which is my favourite. The filling inside is quite sugary but also has a bit of a cream taste and maybe a hint of a praline flavour but without the nuts themselves. There is nothing in a Lindor except for pure delicous chocolate so I like them because there are no nuts or bits to get stuck in my false teeth.

The only problem I think with Lindor is because they are so rich and sweet I cannot eat more than 2 or 3 at once. I sometimes feel sick even after I have just eaten one. I cannot see how many calories are in them on the box but I think they will probably be very high in calories and fat. So it is a good thing really that I cannot eat too many of them. They are not very expensive for how good they are and a normal sized box costs about £3. 50 and in Sainsburys they sell a mini box for 99p and you get 4 Lindor chocolates in this. In a normal size box you get about 15.

Summary: Lindor chocolates are lovely but too many will make you sick
