Advantages: The name - the branding makes these the must give chocolates

Disadvantages: The truffle centre is a let down.

I feel like chocolate betrayer saying what I am about to...
I love chocolate... it is due to chocolate that my tummy has built an extra layer of insulation.

However, Lindt truffles are tricky to write a review for. On one hand, they are literally melt in your mouth. It has a hard outer shell and the inside is almost like liquid chocolate, melts on the tongue, tastes rich and the texture is just Mmmm.

BUT, the more I have been given the truffles and the more I eat them, the more I realise that the truffle centre actually isn't that great. First of all, it doesn't taste like chocolate, it tastes vaguely of chocolate. Don't get me wrong, it is still sweet but I find that maybe the texture is too gliding and liquid on the tongue - almost oily in some ways, which just tastes strange.

The chocolate on the outside, the shell, tastes creamy and sweet - like milk chocolate but the centre is disappointing. Lindt have made better.

Summary: The chocolates are nice but there are better.
