Advantages: Stunningly tasty!
Disadvantages: Melt very quickly
Lindt is one of those chocolates that I have had on the odd occasion but never really got into. Last night Andrew presented me with a small box of these chocolate truffles after he was given them at work. The box contained four chocolates so before I ate my jaffa cakes, I ate these (I can only blame these for my huge binge because they gave me the taste for chocolate!).
The chocolates are shaped in big, circular balls and are all individually wrapped. Hen you unwrap them you will see that they have a slight sheen to them and because they are so smooth, they roll out of the wrapper with ease.
I found that the balls were too big to fit in my mouth in one go so I had to bite mine in half which was a little messy.
I bit into the outer shell and my teeth glided through until it hit the inner which surprisingly was softer than the outer despite being kept in the fridge. I'm guessing the middle should be a bit runny like caramel, if you keep them at room temperature.
The taste and the texture of the chocolate was absolutely amazing and my husband got sick of me saying 'ummmmm'. The chocolate felt like a real treat because it was so nice. I would say that it's much smoother than Galaxy and it literally just melts in your mouth without having to chew at all; no sooner have you put it in your mouth has it disappeared but not quick enough for you to thoroughly enjoy it!
The only bad thing about these chocolates is the fact that they were melting before my very eyes. I got them out of the fridge and by the time I had got around to eating the second one it was a little 'squashy' and left my fingers a bit 'muddy'.
Now I don't know if the taste was out of this world because I was more than ready for some chocolate or because they are actually a lovely chocolate but there's my excuse to buy myself a box and try them again!
The small box I had cost 99p (I know this because I have seen them taunting me at the checkouts with the other small boxes!) and after examining very closely, I can reveal that these chocolates contain no calories, sugar or fat because there was no nutritional information on the box! (Either that or they don't want people to know because there full of calories!)
Summary: Ummmmmm
