Ok, well I have never tried a Lion bar in my entire life, and one is sitting here in front of me. I can't wait to indulge myself and find out what it's like, but I'm just going to run through a few other points too. I always thought this was the kind of chocolate bar that was expensive and average-tasting. It has never really been that popular, but I thought it would be good to try out something new. ~~~~~~ The Look ~~~~~~ This bar comes in a dark brown packet. On the front, it has a rather bold 'Lion' logo in yellow writing with a red outline. Just above is the nestle logo and to the left side is a cartoon sketch of a lion with it's mouth ... A chocolate bar... you can't really go too far wrong. I think I would really struggle to find a chocolate that I would ever rate under, say, three stars. That's purely due to my always-hungry sweet tooth. However, there is still a wide range between those chocolates that really scratch that decadent chocolate itch and those that leave you feeling a little like the kid at Christmas who asked for an Xbox and got a board game. I have found recently that my taste in chocolate has begun to change. Perhaps it is part of aging and the maturing of palette (read: a much-needed detour from the the-sweeter-the-better attitude of the young and pre-diabetic), but I have ... Read the complete review

Considering the amount of reviews I write about chocolate and other sweet food items I actually lead a pretty healthy life style however I had a lapse this evening while driving back from friends after we stopped to get petrol and fund the national debt in the process thanks to the petrol tax we all pay. Anyway I ended up with a Lion Bar which is something I have not had for a while, it cost forty six pence and despite the guilt over the fact that this single bar is packed with 277 calories, about 25% of my normal intake I still really enjoyed it. At least this review will cover the monetary costs and a trip to the gym will repay the calories. Lion ... Read the complete review

This is a really substantial chocolate bar and it has lots of variety when it comes to contents, texture and taste. There is a roaring lion on the wrapper with the name of the bar seemingly coming out of its mouth ad it is made by Nestle. In my local shop they sell for a price between forty pence and forty five pence and can also be bought in a four pack size which works out cheaper in cost per bar. It is a single solid bar and it has a lumpy texture to it rather than a smooth one, when you bite into it if has a soft chewy texture as it is a combination of wafer, caramel and I detected nougat all wrapped in lovely milk chocolate. I find that the combination ... Read the complete review

In theory reviewing a chocolate bar should mean that this will be a short review so if you are one of those raters who are only concerned with length and not quality then make like my last girlfriend and leave now ha ha. Lion Bar is one of those chocolates that I do not usually choose to eat, it is made by Nestle and I tend to prefer Cadburys chocolate for taste. Also a quirk of mine is that I actually like to eat chocolate after it has been in the freezer, everything chocolate from plain bars to mars bars and minstrels they all go in the freezer first and the constitution of this bar does not lend itself to freezing because of the wafer. It is a refined art ... Read the complete review
