Advantages: Yummy! Fills you up, great combination of ingredients, priced similarly to other bars

Disadvantages: High calories, can be a bit messy!

At 10:30am on a Monday morning headache at work, I always have to indulge myself with a chocolate bar. Each day its different, and today I had a Lion bar - not had one in ages, so I thought I would give it a whirl and bring back some old taste bud memories!

The Lion bar is a chocolate bar made by Nestle. It comes in brown packaging, with the word "LION" emblazoned over the front of it, next to the roaring cat - it's quite hard to miss! It only weights 43g, but it comes with a whopping 203 calories, so make sure you don't get addicted to them, or else your health will suffer!

Covered in milk chocolate, the bar consists of a wafer in the middle, surrounded by caramel and crisped rice. I think the closest tasting bar to it is my all time favourite, the Toffee Crisp, and the Lion bar does not disappoint. It's essentially a chewier, more overloaded version of a Toffee Crisp, with the extra wafer and caramel really combining well with the crisped rice. You should take a big bite out of it, just so you can get the combination of the ingredients to meld with each other in your mouth. It can be quite a messy bar to eat though, as a few crisped rice and flakes of choclate fell onto my lap whilst devouring it!

It really does fill a hunger urge, and so it should considering the little thing contains so many calories! But it is a great tasting bar, and one I will treat to myself much more often! It can be regularly found from most newsagents and supermarkets, ranging in price from 40p to 55p, depending where you live.

Summary: A great chocolate bar to trest yourself every now and then!
