Advantages: Can make a quick meal for 2
Disadvantages: none
Lloyd Grossman is a brand of ready made pasta sauces easily availed in supermarkets like ASDA and Tesco.
I am a great fan of cooking my own food starting with the first and more basic ingredients and building up flavours, that way I know exactly what goes in my food and I can make it healthy. Not too mention that no matter how much their try to sell ready made food is never going to be as healthy and tasty as the food you can make yourself. But there are times when I just do not find the time to make my own food and I see myself forced to have something quick to make. Besides always storing a few baked beans and potatoes cans I also store few of the Lloyd Grossman's sauces selection and I must say they are my favourites.
***** Presentation*****
Each sauce comes in an long transparent glass jar with an small label covering about a quarter of it. Transparent food packaging always makes me decide in buying product as I like to see what is inside.
One lovely thing about this jars is the fact that I never have problem opening them. I always manage to unscrew the top easily.
***** Taste******
That pasta sauces come in a variety of flavours; Smokey Bacon, Bolognese, Tomato & Basil and Puttanesca just to name my ultimate favourites.
They are always well flavoured and with an intense taste, they can take your taste buds explode with pleasure.
***** Use******
I generally heat the sauce in the microwave for a few minutes and add it on top of some spaghetti pasta or all sort of pasta will do, depends what I have in the house at the time. I always like adding on top a sliced to salami or ham chopped on top.
One jar is 350 grams and if you cook some pasta the sauce is enough for 2 people. I generally cook 200grams of simple basic pasta for 2 people, is a very filling meal. All this is also very good on the calories content.
Overall I highly recommend this sauces selection, better reach for them next time when you are at the supermarket instead of that ready made curry that is no good for you.
Every so often remember to take the glass jars for recycling.
Summary: Highly tasty, I recommend it
