Why did I buy this product? I bought this for over the top of ice cream. I bought the certain product as I thought it would be less messy to use and think it is great idea it being in a squeezy bottle. What is the product for? I love pancakes, yum! I love them even more with something sweet on them like jam or treacle :-P One of the things I found in our cupboard to review was something I'd forgotten we'd got as it was at the back as it isn't used very often... 'Lyle's Squeezy Syrup' is a golden syrup which is in an upside down bottle that has got a green wrapper on it and weighs 340 g. I think the design of the bottle is stupid even though I love the sticky contents as it tends to fall over and is really difficult to squeeze out - it has one of those drip free plastic gizmos on the opening but it makes it really difficult to push the syrup through ... 'What an odd idea', I first thought on seeing a row of 'them' regimentally lined up when out shopping, a good few weeks ago now. A well-known 'Golden Syrup' in a 'squeezy' bottle; why it seemed so alien compared to the iconic metal tins I have always known this particular gloopy treacle to be delivered in... However, of course my darling dark-both-in-mood-and-nature daughter saw it too, because she had accompanied me on my trip - and with it being 'On Offer' for £1.09 for the 340 gram contents, Goth-Zilla voraciously insisted we try it.
