Lyles Black Treacle

I have half a tin of Lyles black treacle in my store cupboard. I used some in my ginger bread at Christmas time. Lyles black treacle comes in 454g tins and 7.257kg bottles. The tin is especially attractive, it's a red tin with the Lyles golden lion sleeping on it an arc of gold over the lion with black printing saying Lyles black treacle. Lyles goes back to 1883 with Abraham Lyle founding a sugar refining factory .The sweet syrup left over after refining sugar was made into golden Syrup.
