 ... above) small beef wellingtons, for £7.99. They didn't quite look how I expected, and I'm still not sure if they were a classic recipe, but they were truly divine (yes I was a pig and ate 2!!). The beef was some of the best fillet steak I've tasted, and the finely chopped mushrooms in red wine sauce really complimented the meat. The puff pastry was light, and I had an amazing meal (served with some green beans and creamed cabbage). This was a real treat in my opinion - I have been wanting to try Beef wellington for years, and never got around to it until a few weeks ago. I had just been paid and had a trip to Marks and Spencer.
