Magnum ice-creams are one of my favourite tastes of summer. Three years ago, when I was heavily pregnant in the middle of the 2006 heat-wave, I developed an addiction to Magnums and that addiction has stayed with me ever since. The lack of proper summers since then has made me more able to resist temptation but with the temperatures rising this year, I can hear the Magnums calling me once again. My husband was working away this week and he left a couple of little treats in the freezer for me. One of these was a box of mini Magnums and the other was a box of the new Magnum Temptations. I hadn't tried the Magnum Temptations before but had seen them in a couple ... Read the complete review

With this beautiful (and hopefully lasting) bout of warm weather we have been having recently, I have rekindled my love for ice cream. I don't often eat ice cream but the very odd one now and again is a lovely treat, so when offered if I would like one from our local shop by a friend at work I jumped at the chance. Not knowing what I was in the mood for I simply requested something "like a magnum" and the Magnum Temptation Chocolate was what I was presented with. Packaging / First Impressions ------------------------------------- I vaguely recall seeing an advert for this ice cream when I saw the box; a secret exotic advert ... Read the complete review

I recently saw a television commercial advertising the new 'Temptation' range of ice-creams from Walls' Magnum. The ice-creams are presented as being as seductive as the forbidden fruit was to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden! Designed to be an extra special treat and packed with rich, indulgent ingredients they are marketed like an erotic adult pleasure object! There are two flavours in the range: Chocolate and Caramel and Almonds. I bought the 'Chocolate' flavour from my local Asda supermarket after failing to find them anywhere else. They were £3.50 for three large lolly ice-creams. The packaging is fairly exquisite. The outer layer is a thick black ... Read the complete review

Walls Magnum Temptation Chocolate Ice Cream..... Now even though I am on a healthy eating regime, it doesn't stop me having a treat now and again. This means that I was tempted into the half price offer I saw recently in Tesco for these Magnum Temptation Chocolate ice Creams. They were on special at £1.49p for a pack of three ice creams a price that I think is fairly reasonable for Magnums. There was a choice between the Chocolate or Caramel but being a self confessed chocoholic I of course opted for the chocolate version. The wrapping on these ice creams is fairly special because they come individually house within a cardboard ... Read the complete review

Magnum Temptation Chocolate Ice Cream is the latest creation by Walls. They describe it on their website as "rich milk chocolate ice cream enriched with sumptuous chocolate sauce and an abundance of white chocolate chunks and brownie pieces surrounded in a dark chocolate coating". You may have seen the rubbish advert, which features the tag line "The Royal Treatment". They're pitching this new ice cream as something really special and as we all like Classic Magnums we decided to try these, as they were half price at Tesco. I don't normally like to drone on about packaging in my reviews, but I just have to mention the ... Read the complete review
