Advantages: tasty
Disadvantages: fattening
Shall I tease you with a malteaser,? The chocolate with a less fattening centre?
I have a bag of maltesers sat next to me on my computer desk. They sit in a red plastic bag that has pictures of chocolate balls on it one of them is in half so you can see the honeycomb centre. Maltesers come in small size packs suitable for that little choc boost when you are at school or out and about. Maltesers are available in many sizes from the treat size to the bucket. The standard size contains 37g and cost38p from tescos.
Maltesers were first invented in 1936 by Forest Mars Sr. they were called energy balls then.
Maltesers are available in white chocolate as well as the milk chocolate. There is also a Malteser chocolate drink powder available and a malteser ice cream.

A malteser is a small ball of honeycomb with little air bubbles inside (the way the bubbles get inside is a guarded secret). The ball is covered in a lovely chocolate. The sweet as do smell lovely and chocolaty. Pop a malteser in your mouth, how do you eat yours? I let the chocolate melt of the malteser and trickle down my throat then I suck the ball and it disintegrates in my mouth it is tasty a sweet honeycomb. I sometimes chew and crunch the honeycomb but it does get stuck in the teeth.
These sweets are very moreish so be warned as you will soon put on weight so maybe a treat size is better for you than a bucket, unless you are sharing with lots of people.
I have eaten many maltesers in my 50 years not my favourite sweet, but one I do like and will occasionally buy. Thanks for reading Mary
