Advantages: Can get away with eating more than you think

Disadvantages: Still not health foo, is it?

I'm a chocolate fan, well; more specifically I'm a Cadbury's chocolate fan. Generally if I need my fix I'll go straight for the Dairy Milk. It's a reliable cure to get rid of that niggling "I need chocolate" feeling that can sometimes eat away (excuse the pun) at me. That seems all very straight forward, you get the niggles, (I don't know if that actually is a word??) you get the Dairy Milk in. Simple.

And it would be simple, if it wasn't for the other niggling feeling. That feeling is the one of guilt that comes with a Dairy Milk gorge-fest. You've still got the smear of chocolate on your chin like a messy 5 year old and you start to realise that it'll take about a week and a half on the treadmill to burn off the calories you've just taken on board. If only there was another way, I don't know, a lighter way to enjoy chocolate, if you will. Well there is!!!

Maltesers are the answer! The little milk chocolate balls with the honeycomb centres really do hit the spot with me, and the surprising thing is, they aren't made by Cadbury's, they're actually a Mars product. Whether you buy them in the standard size, the fun size, he 400g box, or the resealable 175g 'cinema' pack, there's a good chance you'll find them devilishly moreish.

Here's the nutritional info (per 100g) to back up my claims:

Calories - 484kcal

Saturated Fat - 14.1g

Sugar - 55.6g

Salt - 0.3g

Yeah, I know what you're thinking, they don't look like that great figures, but the thing is, they are better stats than pure chocolate bars, plus because Malteasers are much lighter, you actually eat less without feeling less satisfied.

Price-wise a standard packet is just as you'd expect, around the £0.40 mark, or you can pick up a large resealable packet for £1.65 from Tesco's/Sainsbury's/Asda, (or considerably more if you buy one at a cinema).

I always like food you can play with, and with Malteasers you can play the 'try and throw the 'teasers in somene's mouths' game (or up in the air and catch it in your own mouth), the 'see how many you can fit in your mouth in one go' game, or, emmm, blow football? (yes I'm struggling now)

Another point to note, you can also get a white chocolate version of Maltesers, though I'm not a white chocolate fan so these don't really appeal to me.

Thanks for reading!

Summary: Tasty chocolate, that's better for you than most
