I don't think there are many people out there who have not tried Maltesers, but if you haven't they are small balls of honeycombe covered in milk chocolate. They come in various size packets and boxes. They cost about £1.69 for a family pack.
Just a word of advice the sweets taste better out of a plastic pack and not a box, they never seem as fresh when they are packed in a box.
They honeycombe centre is slightly softer that that of a crunchie (a similar flavour to the malteser).
They are very morish and I can't put them down when watching a good DVD on a Saturday night. Then I feel very sick and instantly regret eating them all.
I like to suck them, this way the chocolate melts slowly and you are left with the honeycombe which also melts in the mouth. One problem if you suck too many the roof of your mouth gets sore. I sometimes just crunch them whole, which is also great but they don't last as long. I also bite all chocolate off first then crunch up the honeycombe.
They say they are low in calories, but if you are anything like me one small bag is just not enough.
They are advertised on tv as 190 calories per bag, so that makes a large bag a hell of a lot of calories, so don't be fooled by ads stressing this is a lighter way to eat chocolate.
Great sweets though!!!
