Advantages: Taste, Combintation, Fun

Disadvantages: Sickly, Not low calorie as advertised

Maltesers are circular balls of chocolate covered malted honeycomb which are very tasty and enjoyable to eat.
The little balls come in a variety of packging, including plastic packets, cardboard boxes and plastic tubs. The larger options are meant for sharing.

The taste of these balls are that of a combination between malt and chocolate, with a slight honeycomb texture on the bite/chew. Once you start eating them, I find you do tend to want more and more, even though after several bags they do get a bit sickly!

There are several ways to eat a malteser, either by popping one in your mouth and chewing it, or you could suck it whereby the chocolate will melt off and you will be left with the malt honeycomb. The feel of the ball is that it is quite crunchy, yet upon biting into one they are not solid rather light and airy. The chocolate is quite sweet and creamy.

The current advertising slogan is 'the lighter way to enjoy chocolate' however for a 37g bag there is 187calories and 9.7g fat, and this is for a small bag. I hardly call this a healthy option!

Overall I find this to be a great option for a confectionary snack, an enjoyable experience that can be fun, but eat in moderation or you may feel sick!

Summary: An enjoyable snack
